Program overview:
9-10 th March: Full round of presentations on field sites and project objectives
Nigel and Dorothee have presented the project with some comments/ideas on developing indicators for ecosystem states and changes in the Arctic.
On the Russian side, all 4 scientists in charge of a field site have presented
a) the work and data available from their field site (including old material and climate data),
b) what is currently done and which methods are used.
On the Norwegian side, Eva, Ronny and Harald have presented the same for Svalbard (Spitsbergen) and Rolf and Nigel did the same for northern Norway (Varanger peninsula). Nicolas showed the work done on Bylot Island. Eva & Nicolas have discussed issues related to the large use of stable isotopes in our project.
